TAKU KYOTO is a leather studio based in Keihoku, Kyoto, Japan.
Since 2006, each piece has been made by hand — from everyday leather objects and bags to motorcycle seats and one-of-a-kind works.
We value the character of the material, the traces of the hand, and objects that grow richer with time.

CRAFT

Every piece is shaped, stitched and finished by hand in Kyoto. We value the small irregularities and traces of the maker that give each object its own character.

MATERIAL

Materials that grow more beautiful with time.

We choose leather and other materials for their texture, strength and ability to age gracefully. Scratches, wear and changing color become part of the object’s story.

STORY

Objects made to carry a story.

A piece is not complete when it leaves the workshop. It changes through use, travels with its owner, and slowly becomes something personal.

DAKU

A small leather companion made to stay close.

Handmade in Kyoto, each DAKU has its own expression and character. Designed to hold small essentials and attach playfully to bags, motorcycles or wherever the journey takes you.

Built for the bike. Made for the rider.

From vintage restorations to one-off custom seats, each piece is shaped to suit the motorcycle, the riding position and the character of the machine. Every seat is made by hand, with attention to comfort, proportion and detail.
